Abstract: The well PingHu BG-2 is a re-drilled well, its permanent guide frame had been retrieved, and the remote connector of the guide rope cannot be used, so how to make the BOP located became a problem that must be done with above all. The paper not only analyzes the adventure exist in the location of the BOP, and introduces the whole process in detail, but also analyzes and explains the function of drilling tool assembly used in the process. The experience of BOP located successfully provides good reference for the BOP location without the guide ropes on the semi-submarine drilling platform. At the same time we can draw some experience and lessons from the paper.
