Abstract: nalysis and evaluation of Triassic source rock was conducted in terms of soluble constituents, carbon isotope, biomarkers of saturate hydrocarbons and rock pyrolysis. The results indicate that source rock was characterized by typical low maturity and belonged to medium to good source rock with medium abundance of organic matters. The types of organic matters were predominantely Ⅱ-type. The sedimentary environment was reducing with high salinity. Thermal evolution was at the early stage of mature.
