Abstract: Longjing Movement was a significant regional tectonic movement happened in the geologic histo-ry of the East China Sea. This paper gives a different perspective on Longjing Movement based on some fresh evidences from seismic data of Xihu Trough, discusses new seismic interface corresponding to Longjing Movement, analyzes the structure background of late Miocene Liulang Formation and puts for-ward a new opinion about the basinal geological evolvement.
