Abstract:
A seismic technology BSR is used to determine natural gas hydrate. It is expounded that what causes the bottom simulating reflector, and the advantage and disadvantage of BSR in further detail. We elaborate BSR exploratory ranges of natural gas hydrate, BSR reflection characteristics and physical properties of BSR, and meanwhile point out BSR limitations about identifying natural gas hydrate. In addition, we advocate a methodology, which combines, applied conditions of BSR, geologic analysis, well logs and geochemistry. These methods describe a new sight about exploration of natural gas hydrate.
