Abstract:
To identify the key constraints on the natural gas commodity rate and facilitate cost reduction and efficiency improvement in offshore gas fields, this paper takes the domestic W offshore gas field group as the research object. Based on actual production gas flow data, the composition and sources of non-commercial gas, including self-consumed gas and lost gas, are systematically analyzed. The results show that self-consumed gas and lost gas are the core factors affecting the commodity rate. Self-consumed gas accounts for 63.6% of the non-commodity volume, mainly consumed by platform gas-fired power generator and onshore terminal gas booster compressors, while lost gas primarily originates from light hydrocarbon recovery reduction and flare venting. On this basis, comprehensive consumption-reduction measures are proposed, including optimizing compressor operating modes, retrofitting gas-driven equipment with electric-driven ones, applying plasma flare ignition technology, and adjusting process parameters of light hydrocarbon recovery. The above measures can reduce non-commodity gas volumes, thereby effectively improving the natural gas commodity rate and providing an practical technical scheme for enhancing quality and efficiency in offshore gas fields.
