Abstract:
To address the shortcomings of traditional drilling time-efficiency management, such as low intelligence, inconsistent criteria for judging operation efficiency, and poor timeliness, research has been conducted in several areas: standardizing drilling operating conditions, developing an intelligent core algorithm for recognizing drilling operating conditions, establishing criteria for judging drilling time efficiency, and realizing real-time visualization of drilling time efficiency. Based on this research, a system for intelligent analysis and time-efficiency management tailored for offshore drilling operations has been developed, enabling standardized and intelligent management of drilling time efficiency. This system has been successfully applied to 29 drilling operations on a platform in the western South China Sea. The application results show that the intelligent recognition accuracy for operating conditions of the system exceeds 95%, with a maximum increase in individual operation efficiency of 32.1% and the drilling cost saved per well is nearly CNY 1 million. It provides innovative technical methods and management ideas for improving offshore operation efficiency and can be promoted in other sea areas.
