海中凹陷北部陡坡带基底潜山岩石学特征与地层时代研究

Petrological characteristics and stratigraphic age of basement buried-hill in the northern steep slope zone of Haizhong Sag

  • 摘要: 为了解北部湾盆地海中凹陷北部陡坡带基底古潜山岩性、形成时代及构造属性,该文综合利用钻井岩心、测井、地震及锆石U-Pb定年等资料进行岩相学分析及时代确定。X井基底潜山岩心可见明显变质现象,综合判定岩性为浅变质石英砂岩。地震剖面显示,研究区潜山振幅较弱,连续性较低,整体宏观成层性明显。测井曲线上表现为低自然伽马、高电阻率特征。锆石U-Pb定年结果显示最年轻锆石年龄范围为484~429 Ma,峰值为441 Ma。研究结果证明海中凹陷存在加里东时期浅变质基底,碎屑锆石微量元素特征表明其形成于大陆岩浆弧或造山环境,为加里东期构造热事件的产物。该套浅变质基底与华南板块震旦系-下古生界浅变质岩可对比,属加里东褶皱带向海域的延伸。该研究成果为探区构造演化研究提供了新的年龄和岩性证据,以期开创该区油气勘探新局面。

     

    Abstract: In order to clarify the lithology, formation age, and tectonic attributes of buried-hill in the northern steep slope zone of Haizhong Sag, Beibuwan Basin, this study comprehensively utilized data from drilling cores, well logging, seismic and zircon U-Pb data to conduct petrographic analysis and age determination. Obvious metamorphism can be observed in the basement buried-hill core of Well X, and the lithology is comprehensively identified as low-grade metamorphic quartz sandstone. Seismic profiles reveal that the amplitude of the buried-hill in the study area is characterized by weak amplitude, poor continuity and clear macroscopic stratification overall. Well logs show low natural gamma ray values and high resistivity values. Zircon U-Pb dating results indicate that the youngest zircon ages range from 484 Ma to 429 Ma with a peak at 441 Ma.The findings demonstrate the presence of a Caledonian low-grade metamorphosed basement in Haizhong Sag. Trace element characteristics of the detrital zircons suggested that they were formed in a continental magmatic arc or orogenic environment, representing products of the Caledonian tectonic-thermal event. This low-grade metamorphic basement is comparable to Sinian-Lower Paleozoic low-grade metamorphic rocks of South China Plate, representing the offshore extension of the Caledonian fold belt. This study provides new age and lithological evidence for the tectonic evolution research and is expected to open up a new prospect for oil and gas exploration in the area.
