Abstract:
As common directional drilling tools, motors have been widely used in Bohai Oilfield. However, in the process of directional drilling in Bohai Liaodong area, frequent occurrences of standpipe pressure surges, torque spikes, and ineffective transmission of hook load to the bit under complex formation conditions have seriously affected operational efficiency and drilling safety. In response to the complex situation in this area, optimizations of bits and motor tools have been implemented, and countermeasures have been developed for the drilling fluid system and wellbore trajectory design. This has resulted in the formation of an efficiency enhancement technology for motor directional drilling in the area, which greatly reduced the complexity of the situation, extended the directional sliding limit to
3000 m, and increased the directional sliding efficiency by 29.26%, achieving significant application effects.
