Abstract:
In order to find high performance rubber materials for well completion tools in CO
2-H
2S and high temperature environments, CO
2-H
2S corrosion and high temperature tensile tests were carried out on three typical rubber materials: AFLAS, FKM and HNBR. It was found that the comprehensive properties of FKM were slightly higher than AFLAS. The comprehensive properties and high temperature mechanical properties of HNBR were significantly lower than those of AFLAS and FKM. The above results can provide guidance and basis for the selection of rubber materials for completion downhole tools in high temperature and high pressure corrosion environments with high CO
2-H
2S content.
