Abstract: For the problems such as wellbore instability, slowly ROP, reservoir protection of big inclination directional well on Weixi block in the Beibu gulf, drilling techniques and technologies have been researched including directional wellbore stability, non-sealing drilling fluid system, drilling technology of increasing ROP and reservoir protection. Field drilling practice shows that the set of technology solve the complex process of drilling, meet the requirements of the test, which saved drilling time 5.25 days and protected reservoir better, and multilayer discoveries were obtained on W4, which two testing layers discovered commercial oil flow.
