Abstract:
In order to determine a finger separator structure capable of high-efficiency separation in deep water, a gas-liquid two phase flow experimental system including a liquid plug generator and probes data acquisition system was established to investigate the influence of different separator structures on separation performance with the evaluation standard of separation efficiency and gas outlet water content. Results show that the separation effect of non-connected inlet is better than that of connected inlet. Riser heightening and large storage volume structures can improve the liquid plug separation effect. Increasing the riser or the storage section volume the performance of connected inlet structure can improve a lot, while the separation effect is not obvious to non-connected inlet structure. The connected inlet, the riser heightening and the large storage volume structure can achieve excellent separation effect at a low superficial gas velocity. The connected inlet, the riser heightening and the large storage volume structure can be consider as a deep water efficient finger separator.
