Abstract: Looking for favorable reservoirs (sweet point) in low porosity and low permeability reservoir is an important direction for hydrocarbon exploration. On the basis of the study on the specific sedimentary setting in the study area, by analyzing the adaptability of various geophysical technologies, the technologies for forecasting low porosity and low permeability reservoirs have been selected. The application results in the study area have proved that it is feasible to use these technologies to look for favorable reservoirs (sweet point) in the study area, which has provided new technologies for forecast of favorable reservoirs in the study area.
