Abstract: Based on rock physical property modeling and quantitative interpretation template, quantitative interpretation has been done for Pingxi Block, Pinghu Field. By using well data, the rock physical data and seismic attributes can be combined together for quantitative interpretation with quantitative interpretation template under the different conditions of porosity and different oil & gas and water status. Further, by extrapolation of the seismic attributes (Poisson ratio, P-wave impedance, etc.), the reservoir physical properties and hydrocarbon existence can be predicted. This method has been used in hydrocarbon potential prediction of P8 reser-voir in Pingxi block, Pinghu field, and good results have been obtained.
