Abstract:
The reservoir types in the depression layer of Changling Sag are mainly fault-lithology complex reservoir, in which the effectiveness of fault transporting is the key factor for hydrocarbon accumulation. According to the exploration degree, qualitative or quantitative method can be used in the study of fault transporting capability. In the area with lower exploration degree, the static analysis of the fault geometric elements, combined with the dynamic analysis of the fault activity, is commonly used to study the fault transporting capability qualitatively. In some areas with high exploration degree, it is generally quantitatively analyzed by calculating the sealing coefficient. The application of the methods mentioned above acquired quite good effects in Changling Sag, and provided a basis for evaluation of the fault transporting system and the analysis of trap risk.
