Abstract
The oil displacing performance of a commercial hydrophobically associating polymer (HAP) at simulating Daqing reservoir conditions is investigated in laboratory through RF and RRF measurements and core flooding experiments in comparison with a commercial glycerol. HAP solution flow through artificial cores of Kg=0.9~1.3μm2, RF>14 and RRF>8 are observed. On artificial cores of Kg=0.9~1.3μm2, the displacing efficiency of 1760mg/L HAP solution for residual oil after water flooding is 6%~8% higher than that of glycerol solution of equal concentration.
