The Analysis of Tectonic Stress Field of Tg and T₅⁶ in Biyang Depression

By using the finite element method, this paper analyzes the character of the tectonic stress field of Tg and T₅⁶ in Biyang Depression. We conclude that T₅⁶ succeeds to Tg in the character of tectonic stress field, and there are two strong tectonic stress field areas in Biyang Depression:one is at eastern escarpment and another is at southern escarpment, where are the beneficial areas of hydrocarbon migration and accumulation.
