The numerical simulation study on gas injection development for the low-permeability reservoir of Chun-107-fault new block

  • Chun-107-fault new block is low permeable. These reservoirs have difficulty in water injection, poor well condition, and low production. Gas injection is the most efficient recovery method for low-permeability reservoirs at home and abroad. In accordance with the geological features and development actuality, the recovery schemes of gas injection are studied by using numerical simulator, the effect of such factors like different wells, different injected gas, different injection rate, and different timing of gas injection on the development index and development results are demonstrated. The result of the study indicates, for the oil fields of the Chun-107-fault new block, gas injection can obviously affect the oil production and the oil recovery factor; different injection rate and injection material can obviously improve the oil recovery factor; adding producing wells and injecting wells can dramatically enhance the oil production and improve the oil recovery factor.
