Economic evaluation of frac and pack sand control technique

  • Frac and pack sand control technology would be proved to be not only realizable in technique but also feasible in economy. Frac pack cost includes cost of labour, material expenses, vehicle cost and mixed fee which are expended during treatment. The production cost includes oil gas handling cost, expenditure on power, reserves fee consisting of production cost of frac pack for sand producing wells, and sand handling fee. Production decline models including exponential decline and harmonic decline are presented. Considering fund value changing with time, indicator system of frac & pack economic evaluation are also presented. Although cost of frac pack is ¥62,454.61 greater than that of cased hole gravel packing, net present value of frac pack is ¥148,077.65 more than that of gravel packing. Therefore, frac pack is profitable.
