A method for calculating layer absorption coefficient based on time-frequency analysis

Time-frequency analysis is developed from Fourier transform and Fourier analysis, and it is also an important tool for seismic signal processing. This paper discusses the method of time-frequency analysis, which is based on multiple wavelet bases and S-transform or general S-transform, and it's also used to cal-culate layer absorption coefficient. The results are better than normal FFT method and have higher resolu-tion.
