Prediction of subtle traps based on tectono-stratigraphy——taking the deep strata of Shiwu fault depression as an example

  • Based on high-resolution sequence stratigraphy and tectono-stratigraphy, subtle traps are consid-ered as the key exploration targets in Shiwu fault depression in the future. Sediments controlled by structure, and there are different distribution characters of subtle traps in different structural positions of the deep strata of Shiwu fault depression. Pijia and Zhangjiatun-Bawu areas are in the vicinity of hydrocarbon generating center and are located in the directions of petroleum migration. Abundant reservoir sandstones are respectively controlled by fault slope-break and bend slope-break developed here and the sealing and preservation conditions are also very well. So they are the most favorable and realistic exploration zones in the deep strata.
