  • Xihu Trough located at the eastern Zhedong Depression, the East China Sea, developed transitional Pinghu Fm. which shows a series of transgressive tidal channels (dominant reservoirs in Pinghu Fm.). Based on regional geological data of Xihu Trough, logs and cores of transgressive tidal channels of Pinghu Fm, this paper discusses the genesis of transgressive tidal channels and these factors influencing the distribution, preservation of these sandbodies.
