Application of key development technologies for low-permeability reservoirs in Weizhou A Oilfield

  • Weizhou A Oilfield is an offshore low-porosity and low-permeability oilfield with fractured structure and poor reservoir physical property. In view of the problems of difficult evaluation of oilfield productivity, prone to errors in formation correlation of TVD (true vertical depth) thickness for horizontal wells, easy to cause reservoir damage during drilling and complex distribution of sand bodies, the oilfield can be efficiently implemented and developed through the comprehensive evaluation of horizontal well productivity, TST (true reservoir thickness) formation comparison, reservoir protection and fine sand body characterization. The development practice shows that the key development technology of low-permeability reservoir in Weizhou A Oilfield ensures the high drilling accuracy and productivity prediction accuracy of horizontal wells, avoids reservoir pollution, and clarifies the distribution of sand bodies. The development technology of low permeability reservoir in Weizhou A Oilfield has certain reference significance for the development of other similar offshore oilfields.
