Improvement and application of through-bit memory logging technology

  • With the continuous development of oil and gas drilling technologies, wellbore configurations are becoming increasingly complex, and as the widespread use of horizontal and extended-reach wells in exploration and development, the severe challenges are posed to conventional wireline logging against this backdrop new logging techniques have emerged rapidly, such as direct-push memory logging, pump-out memory logging, and through-bit logging. This paper compares the characteristics of various logging techniques, systematically introduces the supporting systems and performance of the through-bit logging system, optimizes and improves the downhole tool grabbing and retrieval technology, and presents field applications in X Oilfield. Field practice shows that the optimized technology achieves favorable application results and significant economic benefits, and can be further popularized and applied in the field of through-bit logging, thereby enhancing the practicality and comprehensive economic benefits of through-bit logging technology.
