Research and practice on perforation and frac-pack in strong water flooded layers of offshore L Oilfield

  • L Oilfield is an offshore multi-layer sandstone reservoir that is produced using the fracturing and filling sand control completion method. At present, It has entered the stage of medium to high water content, and the thickness and interval of strong water flooding have significantly increased. The water content of adjustment wells completed by perforation, fracturing, and filling methods in strong water flooded layers varies greatly, and some oil wells have high liquid production and water content, resulting in the failure of oil well production to meet the design requirements, which has negative impact on the deployment of potential well locations in the later stage. This paper analyzes the initial water content and water content changes of adjustment wells in the oilfield in recent years. Relevant research and practical verification are carried out. It is believed that the thickness of strong water flooding, the perforation completion method of strong water flooding layers, and the formation pressure of strong water flooding layers are important factors affecting the water content of oil wells, providing support and basis for the perforation completion of strong water flooding layers in potential well in the later stage.
