Abstract
In order to understand the relationship between the shale gas reservoirs characteristics and seismic features, and to further identify the "sweet spots" with high brittleness, high organic matter abundance and fractures, by identifying the rock physical properties of shale gas reservoirs and referring to Guo's modeling process, a set of rock physics templates was established, which can qualitatively explain the relationship between the key parameters of shale gas reservoir evaluation (mud content, porosity, brittleness) and seismic parameters. To more accurately depict the characteristics of shale gas reservoirs, the Wu's modeling process was optimized, and on this basis, a sand-shale double-layer model was established. The AVO forward modeling was applied to analyze the influence of key parameters of shale on AVO response characteristics, providing AVO detection indicators for the identification of "sweet spots" in shale gas reservoirs.
