Application of Hydrocarbon Spectrum Graphices Logging Technique in Oil and Gas Identification in the New Exploration Area of East China Sea

  • With the continuous oil and gas exploration in East China Sea, it becomes more difficult to conduct exploration work. The oil and gas accumulation conditions in some exploration areas are complex. Traditional logging and logging techniques still have limitations in identifying the properties of complex fluids in the middle and deep layers because of the complex reservoir lithology, strong heterogeneity and variety fluid properties. In order to solve the problem of fluid evaluation in East China Sea exploration area, the hydrocarbon spectrum graphices logging technique has been applied. This technology utilizes the detected changes in the composition and content of hydrocarbon substances to qualitatively and quantitatively evaluate reservoir fluids rapidly. It has been applied in the exploration of a new block in East China Sea and has been confirmed that it had the characteristics of multiple parameters, fast analysis speed, and good instrument stability. This benefits rapid identification of reservoir fluid properties and helps to solve the problem of oil and gas interpretation and evaluation in the new exploration area of East China Sea.
