The Study on Water Flooded Pattern Identification and Measure Potential Prediction of Water Channeling Wells

  • Up to now, a new kind of abnormal production wells of high water cut when put into production of the new layer in the new area has been exploded gradually. Finding out the causes and types of abnormal water outflow will provide important basis for targeted water control. Aiming at the problem that the highly deviated multi-layer wells in offshore oilfield cannot be dynamically monitored to analysis the output of each layer, based on the production dynamic data, starting from the water source and water breakthrough time, combining with the mechanism model, the pattern recognition chart of water flooding is established, and the influence of different factors on the curve characteristics is analyzed. Based on Buckley-Leverett water flooding theory, the modified relationship of dimensionless fluid production index with water cut is established considering the difference of fluid properties and displacement efficiency between layers, to predict the water cut of changing layers. The new theory is verified by the actual production data, which proves that the theory is reasonable and reliable, so as to realize the rapid recognition of water flooded pattern and analysis of water control potential of channeling wells in water layer, and lays a solid foundation for further developing exploitation potential of oilfield.
