Corrosion Analysis of Riser and Discussion on Maintenance and Remedial Measures

After years of development of oil and gas fields in the eastern South China Sea, under the action of complex marine environment, stress corrosion and other factors, risers of some platforms have been seriously corroded and damaged. In order to further improve the service life of the riser, achieve the purpose of maintaining the integrity barrier of the wellbore and ensure the safe production operation of the oilfield, on the basis of clarifying the corrosion status and corrosion factors of the riser in the eastern South China Sea, the corresponding maintenance and remedial measures in the whole life cycle of the riser, their respective technical advantages and application environment are studied and put forward for the three stages of life extension of the new riser, maintenance of the in-service riser and repair of the later riser damage, so as to provide implementation basis for maintenance and remediation of the riser.
