Application of Three-source and Multi-cable High-density Seismic Acquisition for Gas hydrate in Offshore China

  • The gas hydrates has the characteristics of shallow burial depth and rapid lateral change. In order to accurately describe the boundary of gas hydrate bodies, the three-dimensional high-resolution seismic survey technology is carried out. This paper introduces the high-density and high-resolution 3D seismic data acquisition with three sources and multiple cables, which is firstly used for gas hydrate survey in offshore China. The acquisition parameters are 3 seismic sources with 25 m spacing, the cable spacing is 75 m, the bin size is 6.25 m×12.5 m, the source depth is 5 m and the cable depth is 6 m. After 3D pre-stack depth migration processing, the signal-to-noise ratio and resolution have been greatly improved compared with previous data, laying a foundation for the study of gas hydrate.
