Study and Application of Technical Maturity of Marine Engineering Equipment Industry

  • The marine engineering equipment industry has the characteristics of high technology, high investment, high output, high added value and high risk, which has great driving effect on the national economy. In this paper, with the underwater production system as an example, the significance, advantages and limitations of establishing relevant technology maturity standards in the industry are discussed, and the marine engineering equipment industry technical maturity level specification and standard are introduced, mainly API standard and DOD standard, which are applicable to marine engineering equipment industry. With the water production as example, the concept of integrated maturity and the system maturity is introduced, and related calculation and application were conducted. The study of technology maturity is helpful for determining whether the key technologies in the marine engineering equipment industry meet the application standard, and is conducive to standardize the design and manufacture of equipment.
