Study on the Minimum Driving Depth of Riser in WX Oil Field in Beibu Gulf

  • The riser is a key part of offshore drilling, and it is very important for safe drilling and completion to determine the reasonable entry depth of the riser. With the development of WX oilfield, in view of the problem of entry depth of the riser, based on this mathematical model, and combined with different field operating conditions, the calculation model of minimum mud penetration depth based on drilling fluid safe circulation and maximum formation bearing capacity conduit is established, and the calculation method and steps are provided. This model can be used to guide the design of riser and the drilling operation in WX oilfield, and can meet the requirements for development.
