Model Construction for Secondary Interpretation of Porosity and Permeability with Logging Data for Chang 6 Reservoir in the West Oil Field

  • Model construction of porosity and permeability plays an important foundation for evaluation of reservoir characteristics. In this paper, firstly, we use the volume model to establish the relationship between the measured porosity and logging parameters, and obtain the porosity interpretation model for Chang 6 reservoir. Then, according to the linear relationships between the permeability and porosity, we establish the permeability interpretation model, obtain the porosity and permeability model considering the influence of carbonate content. The accuracy of this model has reached the evaluation criteria for the study area, and can be used to guide the actual oil production.
