Selection Design Analysis of Vertical Waste Heat Recovery Unit on Offshore Oil Platform

  • Turbines often produce exhaust gas at very high temperatures, which contains a large amount of heat. Using waste heat recovery unit (WHRU), the temperature of exhaust gas can be considerably reduced, thermal oil can be heated, and then used for production as a heat transfer medium for users such as heat exchangers etc. By estimating the effective waste heat power from the turbine, combined with the platform space arrangement, the selection of the WHRU is confirmed, also the entire exhaust system hack pressure is checked, and rational planning of the exhaust duct is arranged, and the waste heat from the gas turbine is recovered and used.
