Quantitative Study on Remaining Oil Controlled by Sedimentary Facies:A Case Study of Lower Series in XiaErMen Oilfield

  • With deeper development of XiaErMen oilfield, the study on remaining oil and sedimentary facies in lower series of this field has made rapid progress. In this paper, by combining the remaining oil model with sedimentary facies model, based on a good knowledge of distribution characteristics of both remaining oil and sedimentary facies, quantitative statistic analysis has been con-ducted on remaining oil, remaining reserves abundance, remaining oil saturation of different sedimentary facies, and the quantitative relationship between remaining oil and sedimentary facies has been analyzed. This study has important leading meaning to predict re-maining oil distribution, to make optimal adjust measures, to promote development efficiency and enhance oil recovery. In addition, These methods introduced in this paper can also be used for other similar reservoirs.
