Analysis and Applications of Time-Depth Transform Method in 3D Seismic Interpretation

  • Time-depth conversion is an important part of converting seismic data interpretation results into the geological results. In this paper, on the basis of the actual data of the oilfield exploration, several different time-depth conversion methods have been discussed. For the constant velocity mapping, the best practice is to proceed power function fitting by dividing the region and the depth. For the variable velocity mapping, we can choose different methods according to different data characteristics and the actual situation. In actual applications, in order to achieve the best geological results, we can select the appropriate time-depth conversion method depending on the geological and seismic reflection conditions.
