Abandoned conditions study of ponded condensate gas reservoir

  • Abandonment gas production rate and abandonment pressure are the key parameters of calibrating condensate gas reservoir recovery ratio. But at the process of calibrating recoverable reserves, its found that the way of defining the abandonment conditions is not exact or theoretical equation that calculating the abandonment pressure is not applicable or the accurateness of empiric equation is not good.According to experience of calibrating recoverable reserves for many years a method for defining the abandonment gas production rate and abandonment pressure of ponded condensate gas reservoir was proposed.Taking the well YY of XX gas reservoir in the East China Sea as an example and using petroleum reservoir engineering and gas production engineering a new calculating method was introduced which will provide reference for calculating recoverable reserves of gas reservoir with the same geologic characteristics.
