Hydrocarbon resource evaluation and favorable region prediction in Huanghekou Depression

Assessment of hydrocarbon resources is the basis of making exploration decision and have a great influence on exploration direction and investment.According to the exploration degree in Huanghekou Depression the oil resource is predicted and the exploration potential is analyzed by oil field scale-sequence method in terms of the law of Pareto.Study shows that about 25 profitable oil and gas fields in Huang-hek-ou Depression are to be discovered at present.The remaining oil reserve is expected to be about 2.59×10⁸ m³, which indicates a great potential for exploration.Bozhong 28-34 central uplift belt, the south gentle slope belt and the west fault step belt could be the most promising exploration target areas.
