Damage Control Technology in Pinghu Field

This article outlines the lab methods used in Pinghu field formation damage evaluation.Much analysis and evaluation of Pinghu formation damage factor and damage mechanism have been completed. Proposals regarding formation damage control technology have been suggested, based on plenty of lab study and software calculations.These technology include:premium drill fluids, low solid brine completion fluids and tubing convey perforation technology.Good results have been obtained by using this technique in 15 drilled wells.The formation damage control in Pinghu field was very successful, with the evidence of very low skin factor, compared with exploration well.It is a good case for similar field development.
