Merging of 3D Seismic Data from Chunxiao Gas Field, Xihu Sag, East China Sea

  • Three blocks of data from Xihu sag were acquired with a wide variety of spread length, bin dimension, grid orientation, fold, etc.Conventional solution for different bin dimensions and grid orientations is to flex-bin traces of all surveys using a defined single grid parameter.It may result in much more holes and more un-uniform fold within a bin for surveys whose line orientations and bin dimensions are quite different from those of the defined.The paper describes an integrated set of processes, which have been applied in 3D merging to retain the best features of all surveys without compromise.
