Practice of progressive development of QK17-2Oilfield

QK17-2Oilfield is located in the western part of Bohai Bay. It is divided into two high-points, and the main production layer is lower part of Minghua Formation in Upper Tertiary. After six years'production, output in western and eastern part of QK17-2Oilfield is not balanced, and the production degree in west part is higher. Taking use of these resources, the adjustment measure of progressive development was carried out since March, 2006, meanwhile extension exploration proceeded. Taking full use of new platform in the eastern part, the new area is brought into development. The oil/gas layers are confirmed in the southern part, and oil and gas reserves have increased by 300×10⁴ m³and 2×10⁸m³respectively, which achieves a remarkable effect. Integration of exploration and development is achieved, the reserves placement of oil field remains stable, the shortage of oil/gas has been eased, and the small-scale oilfields develop economically, efficiently and rapidly.
