Research on the methods and application of the fluid identification in Pinghu Oil & Gas Fields

  • Pinghu oil and gas fields are located in the middle slope of Xihu Trough, the East China Sea Shelf Basin, with the pay zones of Huagang formation for oil and Pinghu formation for condensate gas. Oil production in Pinghu formation brings difficulty to oilfield development as Pinghu formation was thought as the main gas reservoir,so the identification of fluids plays an important role in oilfield development which not only influences the selection of development program but also influences rolling exploration. Rocks saturated different fluids have different P-wave slowness, S-wave slowness elasticity, equivalent P-wave elastic modulus, fluid density, fluid acoustic time and fluid sound impedance. According to the difference of physical property among the gas, oil and water, parameters about nonelectric logging information combining with other logging methods are used in this article to identify fluid property of reservoir in well AX9, well BX8,well BX1 and well PX9.
