A method for Elimination of Noise due to Vessel Disturbance in Marine Seismic Record

Hie passing-by vessels can unavoidably have more or less effect on S/N ratio in marine seismic record. According to predictability of signal and non-predictability of vessel disturbance, we present the prediction technique in F-X domain to eliminate noise due to vessel disturbance and improve S/N ratio in prestack common offset data. The field data processing have proved the method effective.
