Features of Temperature and Pressure,Migration and Accumulation of Hydrocarbon in Pingbei Area, the East China Sea

  • From inclusion and Ro data, it is clear that Pingbei strata had undergone a higher temperature gradient in geological history, which is favorable for source rock evolution. The equilibrium temperatures of inclusion in Pingbei area are characterized by double peak, which means at least two session of hydrocarbon filling occurred in the reservoir of Pinghu Formation. The abnormal pressure is prevalent in the middle and lower part of Pinghu Formation. The distribution of faulting system controlled the lateral distribution of abnormal pressure. The existence of abnormal pressure can better the reservoir quality and hydrocarbon preserving condition. The phase of hydrocarbon migration in Pingbei area is mainly gas. Buoyancy can be the driving force for petroleum migration, on the other hand, it can also cause damage for hydrocarbon pool.
