Complicated Conditions while Setting Cementing Plug in Well CBX and Disposal Measures

  • CBX is a directional well. When setting the cementing plug after DST1, complicated situations occurred, the 88.9 mm drill pipes were sticked. Through a series of back-off operations using the original right-hand drill pipes and left-hand drill pipes connected with fishing spear, 3 851.07 m of drill pipes were fishing out. Not only complicated conditions were successfully removed, but also satisfying the requirements for later DST. In this paper, the disposal measures for the complicated conditions have been discussed, which might provide be a reference for solving the similar problems in the future.
