Quantitative Prediction of Narrow and Thin Interbedded Reservoirs Based on Waveform Indication Inversion

  • In order to solve the problems of thin single sand layer, fast sand body change, thin interbedded sedimentation and low reservoir prediction accuracy in the third member of Shahejie Formation of Paleogene in Bohai KL Oilfield, it is proposed to replace the variation function with the waveform information in the high-frequency seismic section, and select the sensitive parameter that can reflect the lithology to participate in the simulation, which effectively improves the vertical and horizontal resolution of reservoir inversion, and more accurately depicts the spatial distribution form and range of the sand body. The narrow and thin reservoir prediction under waveform indication inversion is realized. The actual drilling of development wells shows that the identification accuracy of thin interbeds by seismic waveform indication inversion is less than 5 m, and the coincidence rate between inversion results and actual drilling is 85.7%. Seismic waveform indication inversion can effectively improve the prediction accuracy of narrow and thin reservoirs, providing a reference for the identification of narrow and thin reservoirs under the condition of offshore wide well spacing.
