Quantitative Characterization and Application Analysis of Hydrocarbon Transport System of Pinghu Formation in Kongqueting Area

  • As the main channel of oil and gas migration, the transport system plays an important role in controlling the distribution of oil and gas. In this paper, the quantitative method was mainly used to analyze the transport efficiency of vertical and lateral faults and sandstone in different regions of Pinghu Formation in Kongqueting area. On this basis, the combination of fault and sand can be divided into six types of compound transport system according to dip of fault, tendency of sand body and structure characteristic, among which forward fault and sand body combination and inverted fault and sand body combination are the main compound transport systems. Through the studying of the combination of fault and sand, the migration mode and distribution of oil and gas, four types of transport and aggregation modes in Kongqueting area have been summarized. It includes vertical and lateral strong transport and oil-gas accumulated in the fault footwall, vertical and lateral strong transport and oil-gas accumulated in the upper wall, vertical and lateral medium transport and oil-gas accumulated in the upper wall, main lateral weak transport and oil-gas accumulated in the upper wall. This study has certain referential significance for the target evaluation and optimization of Kongqueting area.
