Practice and Understanding of ϕ244.5 mm Casing Cutting and Fishing Operation in Daewoo Abandoned Well

  • In 2018, KAN TAN IV semi-submersible drilling platform successfully completed the DAEWOO abandoned well in South Korea. In ϕ244.5 mm casing cutting and fishing operation, the cutting and fishing operations were combined in the abandonment program, and the casing cutting and fishing was completed with a single run of string, which reduced the make-up BHA and trips. This simplified the operation process, and improved the operation efficiency and reliability.
