Study and Application of EPS Treatment Technology for Offshore Water-based Drilling Fluid

  • In order to solve the problem of waste disposal of water-based drilling fluid and drilling cuttings in offshore oil and gas exploration development, the existing technologies and working models are analyzed. This paper analyzes the applicability of the mobile EPS treatment technology, and explains the process design and the technology used. Based on the optimization of EPS workboat performance, a mobile offshore water-based treatment device for the recovery of drilling fluid waste has been established at sea. Through practical application in the Kenli oil field group, the problem of drilling fluid waste disposal in multiple adjacent operation locations is effectively solved. The successful application of this technology and device on the sea provides a reference for the selection of equipment and technology for the disposal of water-based drilling fluid and drilling cuttings in the future, and it is of great significance to protect the marine environment more economically and effectively.
