Problems and Solutions of DigiFin in Marine 3D Seismic Construction

  • DigiFin has the advantages of efficiently controlling the separation between streamers and reducing infill rate, and it has been widely used in the marine 3D seismic acquisition. However, problems affecting cable streamer and screaming will occur during operation. Based on acquaintance of DigiFin structure and its underwater working principle, this paper analyzes the actual issues such as DigiFin's influence on the streamer balance, streamer noise caused by DigiFin mounting, FSK Jamming and so on, and puts forward the corresponding treatment scheme. By replacing the Digifin with low power and motor failure in time, In the instrument room at the water end, disconnecting the dcxu acoustic line at the instrument end in time, and prohibiting the use of pre-judged faulty Digifin. The above methods can quickly solve the problems caused by Digifin, reduce the impact of Digifin on construction efficiency and product quality, and ensure the smooth progress of offshore construction.
