Optimization of Reservoir Protection Technology for Workover in Panyu 30-1 Gas Field

  • With the production of Panyu 30-1 gas field entering the middle and later stage, problems such as reservoir pressure reduction, water invasion, water flooding and string corrosion, etc., affect the production of gas wells, so it is necessary to carry out workover. However, there is a risk of loss of workover fluid in pressure deficit gas well, which is easy to cause reservoir damage and leads to difficulties in gas well recovery. Based on the study of reservoir protection technology in workover, combined with the characteristics of Panyu 30-1 gas field, the temporary reservoir isolation technology is recommended to avoid workover fluid contacting the formation and protect the reservoir to the maximum extent. The operation procedure of temporary reservoir isolation is formulated to provide guidance and reference for workover in Panyu 30-1 gas field.
